11am Masterclass
Simon Toohey and Keri Burnell will be cooking…
Corporal Freddie’s Worcestershire
Mushrooms on sourdough
This is by far going to be the tastiest recipes we have ever done on the Nisbet’s Kitchen stage. Why? Because of the Worcestershire sauce.
‘Corporal Freddie's is named in honour of Lance Corporal Frederick "Freddie" Cameron.
Freddie returned home from WWII. Like many Aussies rebuilding life after the war, Freddie found comfort in the simple things. Good company. Hearty food. And flavour that made people pause and say, “Now that's a proper sauce.”
In his kitchen, Freddie began crafting bold, full-flavoured sauces using traditional ingredients and plenty of care. Before long, “Pa’s sauce” became part of every family meal. Rich, balanced and full of character. The call around the table was always the same. “Where’s Pa’s sauce?”’
This amazing all rounder sauce will be shown in all it’s glory as Keri talks us through the best ways to cook with it…
SO come on down this Saturday for an amazing 11am Masterclass and a taste of home!
